Thank you, everybody, for taking the time to check out our new blog. I don't know how often we'll post, but when we have the time and access to the Internet, we'll try to post at least information about where we are and when. I will have my phone with me, but pretend like I don't have it. It will be off most of the time, and reception is very sparse on the trail. At the bottom, you'll find a list of links. The first one is to our tentative daily plan which shows where we'll be, milages, and mailing addresses for our drop boxes.
So, here we go, on our 2000+ mile journey, starting on the morning of Tuesday, March 24th. I leave by train from Kansas City for Atlanta on the 19th, where I'll stay with cousins. Thanks Darrin, Kristen, and Lauren! Only six more months to go....

ReplyDeleteI took Koli (aka) Todd to the train station this morning of, March 19, 2009. It was dark (6 am) but you could tell that the day was going to be great for traveling. So Todd is on his way... and I miss him already. You take care Todd, with that sinus infection and all. Enjoy the relatives and have a great start... a great middle.... and a great end to this adventure of a life time. AND BE CAREFUL.... Please!!! LOVE YOU sweetheart. xxoo+ one more than U
ReplyDeleteTodd/aka: Koli, has texted me and he has made it to Atlanta and staying with his cousin Darrin. Darrin has promised to fatten Todd up for me. That boy needs some meat on his bones so that he will have something to lose during his hike. Almost there baby, two more days and your on your way. My prays and thoughts are with you and Sally all the way. Love you so much... be well & careful.
