Out of Georgia...and into North Carolina!!!

Yea! We have completed a state and have passed the 100 mile mark. We are happy and feel accomplished! Right now, we are at a "hiker bash" in Franklin, NC---yummy food (pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, all the good stuff..) and entertainment. Staying tonight with another thru-hiker we met on the trail, and another night tomorrow for more food and fun, and back hiking Sunday...craziest moment so far...little mice running on top of my sleeping bag at night hehehe.

  2. I am so proud of you. 100 miles behind you now. Just 1,900 more to go. You can do it kid-O!!! :) The mouse thing, was it a big or small mouse? Let's not make friends here, OK? Got your box today (sat. 4/4). Sleeping bag is airing and the pan is soaking. Have fun at your party and rest that knee of yours and don't eat to much of that pork stuff. Not kosher!! Ha! Ha! Box #3 (Fontana Village) has been sent and on its way. Box #4 will be sent on Monday 4/6 (Gatlinburg, Tn).
Love you sweetie, be careful, have fun, stay dry and be well. Mom

  4. It's probably nice to be out there. Not at home. On Spring Break. Without much to do. I hope you're having fun. Maybe we will see you when you pass through Maryland. Neil-

    P.S. Almost 14.
