Happy Spinter
We're here in Erwin, TN right now at Uncle Johnny's Hostel. We made good time from Hot Springs, though last night was really, really cold and windy. So cold, in fact, that we woke to frozen camelbac tubes and snow on the ground. The good news is that by the time we made it to Erwin about 16 miles later, it felt a lot more like Springtime. Not much more to add, except that we're both doing well and still hiking with our two friends Hobbit and Knickers. We're looking forward to a short day tomorrow (four miles). It's nice to be getting used to longer days, even if it's still not consistently warm.

Hey Sparky, If your Sparky!! what's Sally's name now? Love hearing your happy voice. Makes me feel good to know that your enjoying yourself. 16 miles.... 19 miles.... man! you guys know how to push it, don't you. Well, know when to NOT push it and enjoy your surroundings. Can't wait to talk to you again. You all take care and be careful out there. Love to you and all others too. Kiki (I'm going to start using my other name, just like you. So there you go!!!)
ReplyDeletePlease explain why you're called Sparky now. :) I'm glad that the travel seems to be going well. Hopefully, it'll stay warm for y'all soon! Take care & safe travels, Debbie :)
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering if you two had trail names yet. What is Sally's name? I bet it is something chipper like "Smiles" or "Happy Camper". Sparky fits Koli, I like it. Peace Corps approved. Love you guys, look forward to seeing your smelly faces in June!
